So, how do things work?
some frequently asked questions + things you might like to know
Do you shoot digital or film?
7 years ago we started off in photography shooting film, 2 years later we moved to digital. Over the last year we’ve found ourselves moving back to film. For weddings we shoot around 75% film and for most portrait sessions we shoot 100% film.
Why do you shoot film?
We appreciate both forms of photography, but let’s just say we’ve always felt more compelled to be taking photos rather than editing them. We appreciate it’s colour, depth, tones, texture, imperfections and the discipline it takes to use it.
Do you always shoot together?
For wedding and portrait coverage, yes. For commercial work, it depends on the assignment.
Why do you only offer all day wedding coverage?
We used to offer packages based on time but we found that we were frequently missing out on the best parts of a wedding and trying to squeeze too much into a rushed timeframe. We decided to eliminate timeframes so we could be there and document the real wedding rather than just the obvious.
What kind of cameras do you use?
Film = Canon 1V HS, Pentax 645N, Mamiya 645 Pro TL, Holga, Diana, Instax. Digital = Canon 5D Mark II
How many images do I get?
We don’t believe more necessarily equals better. On average we provide anywhere between 300+ images for all day wedding coverage and 50+ images for our portrait shoots.
When can we see our pictures?
Depending on our workflow at the time we can turn your photos around in 3- 6 weeks. To date we’ve never taken longer than 8 weeks to complete an assignment.
Will you travel interstate for your assignments?
Yes. We travel frequently to Sydney and Melbourne for wedding and portrait work however we love to travel to new locations as long as its financially viable for all.
Will you travel internationally for your assignments?
Yes. We love to hit the road and explore. Travel is nearly a way of life for Tenielle and I as my family all live in the USA so we find ourselves there frequently. I love living in Australia but I do miss home so if you’re an American bride and like what you see please don’t be shy, I’m sure we can work something out.
For those of you having destination weddings.
Each year we make time for a few special locations. Last year we found ourselves in Fiji. This year, who knows? It’s entirely up to you.
Do you accept credit cards?
We accept credit cards through Pay Pal, although you don’t need a Pay pal account for this option. As we are a small business, we do charge a 3% surcharge for credit card payments.
If you have any more questions that we haven’t covered on our FAQ page just look us up on Formspring. Don’t be shy.
