So, how do things work?
some frequently asked questions + things you might like to know
Do you shoot digital or film?
8 years ago we started off in photography shooting film, 2 years later we moved to digital. Over the last two years we’ve moved back to film. For weddings we shoot around 90% film and for most portrait sessions we shoot 100% film.
Why do you shoot film?
We appreciate both forms of photography, but let’s just say we’ve always felt more compelled to be taking photos rather than editing them. We appreciate it’s colour, depth, tones, texture, imperfections and the discipline it takes to use it.
Do you always shoot together?
For wedding and portrait coverage, yes. For commercial work, it depends on the assignment.
What kind of cameras do you use?
Canon 1V, Mamiya 645AF
How many images do I get?
We don’t believe more necessarily equals better. On average we provide anywhere between 300+ images for all day wedding coverage and 50+ images for our portrait shoots.
When can we see our pictures?
Depending on our workflow at the time we can turn your photos around in 4- 8 weeks.
Where are you based?
We used to live in Australia, we now live in Botswana, Africa where we spend our time volunteering. We support ourselves documenting destination weddings, holding photography workshops & editorial assignments internationally.
Will you travel internationally for your assignments?
Yes, almost all of our assignments are overseas. For those of you planning a European wedding, engagement or portrait session, from now on we’ll be travelling to Europe every year during the summer months. For those of you considering Africa, we’re within driving distance to many incredible locations. For the rest of the world we love to travel, send us an email and we can chat further.
Do you accept credit cards?
We accept credit cards through Pay Pal, although you don’t need a Pay pal account for this option. As we are a small business, we do charge a 3% surcharge for credit card payments.
