“You were more like chums than ‘outsiders’, it actually seems strange not to see you around like all the rest of the crew”. Alex’s mum Chev emailed us to say that (after cheekily attempting to bribe us with candy in order to see more photos from the sneak peek).
For us that short, simple sentence, stopped us in our tracks. That sort of comment can make you feel more accomplished than anything else.
Every so often, you get a wedding where you’re treated more like old friends than just the photographers. A hearty welcome from the groom, a kiss on the cheek from the bride and a warm hug from the mum as she hands you some nibblies to keep you going.
You’re not just the quiet observer anymore, you’re a welcome part of their most important day.
Alex and Adam’s day, was a reflection of their personalities. It was completely non-traditional, it was full of character, it was simply them.
BUT these are not the only reasons why Alex & Adam’s day was incredible.
So we’ve compiled a short list
- Alex’s brother assuming the role of ‘usher’ donned a full storm trooper costume.
– Adam is in an awesome band. Alex and her dad walked down the aisle as the equally awesome bandmates played live.
– Alex’s mum Chev married them in the most sentimental ceremony, as a nod to their heritage, full of English folklore.
– Alex and Adam’s first dance was a 4 minute dance-off to the white stripes “fell in love with a girl”. How. Every. First. Dance. Should. Be
There are a million things that we could tell you about Alex and Adam, their family and friends and what their day was about, but it’s impossible to do so.

I love weddings like that where you are a part of the family! And it shows in these pictures, there is an intimacy to them that maybe the viewer wouldn’t feel so much had you not been included as one of them during the big day.
