We met at Campos. A few espressos later, confessions about our love of travelling and obsessive love for all creatures great and small (particularly monkeys) we knew this was going to be something amazing.
Kirby’s exact words were “this is going to be flippin awesome”.
A few weeks later Kirby flew off to Indonesia, a trip she’d be planning for some time to volunteer for 2 weeks at a Sanctuary for injured and orphaned Macaques (monkeys).
A girl after my own heart.
Kirby + Mitch are amazing people. Their wedding day wouldn’t be any different.
10 months rolled around and here we are, on that very day.
The sun was out on Byronview farm and every single detail, was painstakingly, perfectly planned and perfectly them.
Their handmade, hand chopped, hand hammered, wooden centrepieces, complete with real Moss that Kirby’s step-dad had meticulously hot glued onto each and every branch.
Their gift to their guests, a donation in their behalf to the very same sanctuary that Kirby had volunteered at.
Their ceremony overlooked rolling green hills with cows grazing in the background (I’m sure they came out especially for Mitch and Kirby).
Their family and friends wandered the amazing property, mojitos in hand with grins on their faces from ear to ear.
Their reception was bathed in warmth, not for the sake of the heaters (it was a mighty cold night) but more so for the joy that filled that marquee.
Their dancefloor was outside under the stars and despite the bitterly cold wind that swept up over the mountain it didn’t stop anyone from dancing until their feet hurt and even then they didn’t stop.
It was truly something amazing.

This was the very first weddng ever held at the beautiful Byronview Farm and we got to shoot it. What a privelege.
Wedding co-ordination by the lovely Jane Magnus from Byron Bay Weddings and Events.
